FAQ

Q1: Were do you get your ideas from?
A1: From my family and my life. My kids say, do and think the funniest things. And lets face it, life in the ‘burbs is rife with strange possibilities.
Q2: Are your stories real or made up?
A2: I don’t have that wild of an imagination. These people are all real and so are the stories. My life is wacky enough without embellishments. My husband swears that I attract this stuff; he calls me a freak magnet.
Q3: When do you write?
A3: Early morning. I’m at my laptop by the time my oldest son heads off to school. I’m usually in my PJ’s and fuzzy slippers—not exactly a power suit.
Q4: Who are your favorite authors?
A3: David Sedaris, Dave Barry, Janet Evanovich for humor. I fell in love with writing when I read Earnest Hemingway as a kid.
Q5: What makes you laugh?
A5: My boys, my husband and our dog Inca.
Q6: Why do you write?
A6: It’s the only thing I can do; plus the restraining orders get in the way of everything else. Writing is just simply something I have to do.
Q7: I want to be a professional writer, do you have any advice?
A7: Just do it! Put your butt in the seat and work at it every day. A few quadruple shot Americanos never hurt either.
